We have four excellent speakers lined up to teach us the ins and outs of marketing, selling, & executing group and corporate events, plus 50 additional non-bowling ways to drive more revenue into our centers.

10 – 11:00am: Pat Kline – Building a Customer Database to Put Your Marketing on Auto-Pilot

Pat Kline is the Proprietor at Shelby Lanes in Shelby Township, MI. Join us to learn how Pat successfully owns and runs his successful 24 lane traditional center while living full time in Orlando, FL. Pat uses a CRM system to create systemized, automated marketing programs that keep his center full year-round. Pat will teach us how he leverages the 5 P’s: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance to create discipline in his approach, and how a customer database can help us improve our marketing and increase revenue in our centers!

If you’ve been around the bowling industry in the last few years you’ve seen the buzz building around string pinsetter machines. Gus is joining us to bring us up to speed on changes over the last 12 to 24 months, what USBC certification could look like, and how string pinsetters will change our industry and our businesses.

Learn proven strategies for executing food & beverage event catering from one of the most experienced bowling center operators in the country. Rick will teach us how to plan, prepare, produce, and present an event menu that will create a WOW experience for your group event customers AND generate profit for your bottom line. Over his 45 year career in the bowling industry, Rick has directly or indirectly supervised over 100 bowling entertainment centers in the U.S., Canada and Europe. As an advisor, manager or developer, he has participated in the opening of 65 centers worldwide. Rick’s career began at Brunswick, where he spent 22 years as a General Manager, Regional Training Manager, Director of International Operations & Regional Vice President. He then served as VP of Operations for Main Event Entertainment, owned 2 high-volume entertainment centers in central Texas, and for the last 16 years has successfully operated a consulting company serving restaurant and bowling entertainment center operators.  Rick’s restaurant management background has led to educational and consulting engagements with BPAA, IAAPA and several state bowling associations.  Rick is also a regular instructor at the BPAA management schools on the topic of food and beverage management.

2:15 – 3:45pm: Steve Cieslewicz: 50+Non-Bowling Ways to Increase Your Center’s Revenue

Steve Cieslewicz, proprietor at WhiteTail Lanes in Amherst Junction, WI and Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin Past President, joins us to teach 50+ non-bowling ways to increase revenue in our centers. Steve has an extensive history as a proprietor in Wisconsin and leadership experience as the President of BCAW. We’re excited to learn from how Steve has created multiple non-bowling revenue streams in his center in addition to bowling.
